New Pattern Giveaway!

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be a pattern tester for Vanessa of Little Big Girl Studio. I  "met" Vanessa back in February when we both won new Brother sewing machines in the Prudent Baby potholder contest. She is definitely one of those bloggers who I know would be cool to hang out with in person.

And she has come up with one of the most creative bag designs I have seen in a long time! Seriously, how cute is this bag?



The pattern is called the Convertible Clutch because it can be carried two ways- as a clutch or a tote. Brilliant.



I used Whimsy Gray Flower Mosaic for Henry Glass on the outside and Robert Kaufman Remix Zig Zig for the lining. The pattern has a pocket inside and also adds a magnetic snap, though I did not.



The pattern is great to follow and the bag has a nice sturdy shape. I love my new clutch/ tote! Find out more about the pattern and purchase right here.

    What a cool pattern! I love it, and it was great of Vanessa to share with you and one of us! Hmm, best pattern recently, well, I am loving Swoon (I'm on my third block), and I also recently made Noodlehead's Gathered Clutch. It's such a cute pattern!

    Just yesterday I finished a set of Jeni's quilted log cabin coasters and they turned out so cute. I'd highly recommend them for a quick/easy/scrap-using project.

    the best pattern I've recently sewn was a sis boom pattern - Sophie tunic - LOVED it - best instructions ever - great formatting for following along with the sewing and the pattern pieces were all separate so no having to trace the size I want so I didn't ruin the other sizes :)

    What a cute bag!  It'd be so fun to sew, as well as to carry!
     
    The best pattern I've used recently is the Amy Butler Weekender Travel Bag.  Although it's by far the hardest thing I've ever made, and I moaned and groaned all the way through it, I learned a lot from it, and I'm SO glad I made it!

    Oooo what awesome fabric choices on your bag. Looks great. My favorite pattern lately is the Oliver + S sailboat pants/top/skirt. So simple and super versatile (for boys and girls!).

    I recently used this (http://pinterest.com/pin/132248805/) tutorial to make my niece an art smock for school. I did it with laminated cotton and did a pleated embellishment (instead of the ruffle in the tutorial). It turned out great!     This is a great bag! I have made the quilted list taker from jcasa. It is fairly quick and easy and turns out so well.

    The latest tutorial I have made, was the "10 minute quilt block". In fact I started quilting it last night. I made it out of recycled jeans and plaid shirts. Thanks for the chance at the cute purse pattern.

    I have been loving all the patterns from Oliver + S but the other one I like is Izzy and Ivy, I have made three dresses so far using the same pattern and it works great.
